I am a Staff Research Engineer at Samsung Research America. I am currently involved in IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) standardization activities, and am a delegate and voting member of IEEE 802.11 Working Group. Before that, I obtained my PhD from the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Virginia Tech, where I was advised by Prof. Lingjia Liu. My doctoral research primarily focused on aspects of wireless communication strategies for Beyond-5G/6G systems, and theory and applications of machine learning/deep learning techniques for physical layer communications. I spent the summer of 2017 with Huawei Research USA, and the summer of 2018 with Samsung Research America working on 5G and Beyond-5G systems, respectively.
